Ge Gen (Ye) 葛根(野）

Properties: Sweet, pungent, cool.

Channels: Spleen, Stomach, Lung

Functions and Indications: expelling pathogenic factors from muscles, clear heat, promote the production of body fluid and relieving thirst, promoting eruption of rash, raising Yang and stopping diarrhoea, activate and clear the channels and meridians, relieving alcohol poisoning. It is used for external fever and headache, strong pain in the neck and back, thirst, diabetes, unable to letting out skin eruptions, pyretic dysentery, diarrhoea, dizziness and headache, stroke and hemiplegia, chest pain, alcohol poisoning.
