General Functions and indications: promote digestion, harmonise the middle jiao, reinforce the Spleen, improve appetite. Used for food stagnation with poor digestion, abdominal distension, bad breath, deficiency of Spleen and Stomach, no hunger lack of appetite.
炒谷芽 Chao Gu Ya Uncooked fortifies the spleen, nourishes the stomach and stimulates the appetite. Once cooked it can also disperse food stagnation. It is used for Food stagnation with epigastric and abdominal distention, disgust for eating, nausea, loss of appetite. Lack of appetite due to spleen and stomach def with slow, difficult digestion loose stools. Diarrhoea due to stagnation of food with borborygmus abdominal distention.
