Functions and indications: Warm the Kidneys, yang, nourishes essence, strengthen the muscles and bones, promote blood circulation eliminate swelling. Used for impotence and seminal emission, lumbar spine pain due to cold, yin natured carbuncle, early onset breast carbuncle, blood stasis swelling pain.  Skin inflammation of the yin type which does not heal, tends to sink, and suppurates chronically. Mastitis with either swelling and fixed, localized nodulations (in the inflammatory stage) or chronic suppuration, sores which do not heal. Low back pain due to kidney essence insufficiency with mental and physical apathy, darkness around the eyes. Impotence, premature ejaculation due to kidney yang deficiency.
