General Functions and Indications: Dispel wind heat, clearing the head and eyes. Used for wind head Cold and headache, swollen and painful gums, red and congested eyes with tears and dizziness.

Man Jing Zi (Chao) 蔓荆子(炒）Uncooked it dispels wind, clears heat. Once processed it Brightens the eyes, improves hearing treats bi. Diminished visual and auditory acuity due to central qi def and non upbearing of clear yang to nourish the upper with deafness, tinnitus and problems with vision and floaters in the eyes. Rheumatic complaints due to wind damp with pain of the joints, muscles and channels.
