Functions and indications: disperse the Liver, relieve qi stagnation, and relieve dyspepsia. Used for painful distension over hypochondrium, herniation pain, nodules of breast, breast carbuncle, food stagnation qi stagnation, abdomen distending pain.
Qing Pi (Cu Zhi) 青皮(醋) Uncooked it breaks qi stagnation, disperses food stagnation dissipates accumulations. Once processed it Scatters cold, stops pain. It can be used for Lateral costal pain due to liver qi stagnation with lateral costal pain and distention. Qi stagnation blood stasis with splenomegaly, hepatomegaly. Liver qi stagnation which has transformed into fire with irritability, a bitter taste in the mouth. Disharmony of the liver and stomach with nausea, eructation. Inguinal hernia, maladies of the scrotum or testicles due to qi stagnation in the liver channel with severe pain, stagnation of cold and qi in the liver channel with sever pain aggravated by cold. Breast distention, mastitis due to liver qi stagnation with breast pain.
