Sha Shen (Nan) 南沙参

Properties: Sweet, Slightly Cold.

Channels: Lung, Stomach

Functions and indications: nourish yin and clear Lung heat, reinforce the Stomach produce body fluid, eliminate phlegm, and nourish qi. Used for Lung heat irritating dry cough, yin deficiency/exhaustion of strength cough, dry cough sticky phlegm, insufficient Stomach yin, eating less vomiting, insufficient qi and yin , fever with irritability dry mouth.

Usage and dosage: 9-15g.

Caution:  not to be used with li lu.
