Tao Ren (Dan) 桃仁(燀)

Properties: Bitter, Sweet, Neutral.

Channels: Heart, Liver, Large Intestine

Functions and indications: invigorate blood, remove blood stasis, moisten intestines release the bowels, stop cough, and prevent asthma. Used for amenorrhea, painful periods, fibroid in uterus mass in abdomen, lung infection carbuncle, intestinal carbuncles, sport injury , dryness in the intestine, constipation, cough, asthmatic breathing.

"Dan" refers to a paozhi technique used to reduce the toxicity of the seed
