Wu Zhu Yu (Zhi) 吴茱萸(制)
Properties: Pungent, Bitter, hot, slightly toxic.
Channels: Liver, Spleen, Stomach, Kidney
General Functions and indications: dispel Coldness alleviate pain, depress the abnormal rising of qi relieve vomiting, reinforce yang stop diarrhoea. Used for Jue yin headaches, Cold hernia and abdominal pain, Cold damp beriberi, during menstruation and abdominal pain, abdominal swelling and pain, vomiting acid regurgitation, morning diarrhoea and diarrhoea.
Wu Zhu Yu (Zhi) 吴茱萸(制) Uncooked scatters cold, stops pain. Once processed it Scatters cold, stops pain, warms the center, stops diarrhea, drains the liver, downbears counterflow qi. Used for Vomiting due to stomach cold or accumulation of heat in the liver channel epigastric fullness, pain regurgitation, nausea, vomiting clear liquids,/ acid vomiting. Headache due to external cold attacking the upper jiao with pain in the nuchal region. Inguinal hernia, maladies of the scrotum or of the testicles due to stagnation of cold in the liver channel with swollen, cold scrotum pain in the lower abdomen. Dysmenorrhea due to qi stagnation, blood stasis and def cold in the chong and ren. Diarrhea due to invasion of cold dampness of the spleen with abdominal pain, diarrhea with undigested food.
