Chi Shi Zhi 赤石脂

Properties:  Stomach, Large intestine

Channels: Sweet, Sour, Astringent, Warm

Functions and indications: Astringe the intestines, stop bleeding. Promote recovery of wounds and sores. Used for chronic diarrhoea and dysentery, blood in the stools, metrorrhagia and vaginal discharge. External treatment for sore and ulcers that don’t heal, for eczema with invading pus.

Usage and dosage: 9-12g

Caution: Not suitable for use with cinnamon
