Jiang Ban Xia 姜半夏 especially used for adverse rising of qi and to relieve vomiting, it has a more Warming effect, enters the Stomach and Spleen more. Dries dampness, eliminates phlegm, depress abnormal rising of qi stop vomiting, dissolve and dissipate masses. Used for profuse phlegm, cough retention of phlegm and vertigo and dizziness, phlegm stagnation headache, vomiting and nausea, chest and abdominal tightness, plum stone qi.

Jiang Ban Xia 姜半夏 warms the center, transforms phlegm, dries dampness, downbears and counterflow qi, stops vomiting. Vomiting nausea, cold in the stomach with vomiting of clear fluids or watery phlegm, severe cold in the stomach, accumulation of phlegm damp with fullness in the epigastrium, loss of appetite, loose stools. Cold which has transformed into heat. Epigatsric distension due to stomach qi stagnation with nausea and vomiting, cough due to phlegm cold.
