Che Qian Zi (Yan) 车前子(盐)

Properties: Sweet, Slightly Salty, Cold.

Channels: Liver, Kidney, Lung, Small intestine.

General Functions and indications: Clear heat, induce diuresis for treating stranguria, eliminate dampness, stop diarrhoea, improve eyesight, clear phlegm. Used for painful stranguria due to heat. Oedema and fullness, summer-heat damp diarrhoea, redness of the eyes swelling pain, phlegm heat cough.

Che Qian Zi (Yan) 车前子(盐) Disinhibits urination, frees stanguria, supplements the kidneys, brightens the eyes. It can be used for Strangury due to damp heat in the bladder with urgent need to urinate, frequent urination, dysuria, urinating drop by drop, possible sensation of burning in the urethra. Oedema due to accumulation of dampness with oliguria. Red, swollen, painful eyes due to liver heat with leucoma, albugo or white spots, photophobia. Diminishment of visual acuity due to liver/ kidney vacuity with photophobia, blurred vision, tearing in the wind. Spermatorrhea, premature ejaculation, impotence due to kidney deficiency.
