Properties: Bitter, Cold.

Channels: Heart, Lung, Large intestine, Bladder.

Functions and indications: Clear Heat, resolve toxicity, cool the blood, and reduce swelling. Used for cold with fever, throat swelling pain, mouth and tongue ulcers, whooping cough and strained coughs, diarrhea dysentery, painful stranguria due to heat, carbuncle sores and ulcers, snake and insect bites.
