Chun Gen Pi (Chao) 春根皮 (炒)

Properties: Bitter, astringent, cold

Channels: Large intestine, Stomach, Liver

General Functions and indications: Clear heat, dry dampness, arrest secretion, stops leukorrhea, stop diarrhoea, and stop bleeding. Used for reddish discharge leukorrhea, damp heat dysentery, chronic diarrhoea, blood in stools, excessive uterine bleeding.

Chun Pi (Chao) 春皮 (炒) Uncooked clears heat, dries dampness, stops abnormal vaginal discharge. Once processed it will secure the intestines, stops diarrhoea, secure the menstruation, stop bleeding. Chronic diarrhoea due to spleen and stomach deficiency, damp heat in the large intestine. Persistent dysentery due to large intestine damp heat. Metrorrhagia due to either liver fire disturbing the chong and ren with vexation,or chong and ren not securing
