Properties: Bitter, Sour, Slightly Cold

Channels: Liver, Large Intestine

Functions and indications: cool the blood stop bleeding, clears toxicity, promote wound healing. Used for blood in stool, haemorrhoid bleeding, dysentery with blood, uterine bleeding, scalding damage, carbuncles and abscesses due to toxin.

地榆炭 Di Yu Tan has a greater inhibiting and restraining nature, making it much stronger at stopping bleeding.

Usage and dosage: 9-15g. For external use in appropriate amounts, grind and apply to affected area.
