Zi Wan (Zhi) 紫菀(蜜)

General Functions and indications: moisten the lungs, descend qi, eliminate phlegm stop cough. Used for excess phlegm, cough and wheezing, new and chronic cough, tuberculosis and coughing blood.

Zi Wan (Zhi) 紫菀(密) Uncooked scatters cold, eliminates phlegm. Once processed Moistens the lungs, eliminates phlegm. Used for Cough due to either lung qi def with shortness of breath, weak cough, fatigue a pale, wan complexion, spontaneous perspiration or lung yin def with dry cough, dry mouth and throat, little or no phlegm, phlegm streak with blood or hemoptysis.

Usage and dosage: 5-10g.
