Mu Tong 木通

Properties: Bitter, Cold.

Channels: Heart, Small intestine, Bladder.

Functions and indications: Induce diuresis for treating stranguria, clear heart fire, relieve restlessness, activate the channel, stimulates milk secretion. Used for stranguria, oedema, irritability and dark urine, mouth and tongue ulcers, amenorrhea, insufficient milk, damp heat painful obstruction.
