Functions and indications: Nourishes yin and subdues yang. strengthens the kidneys and fortifies the bones; nourishes blood and tonifies the heart; stabilizes menstruation and stops metrorrhagia. Used for yin deficiency with hot flashes, bone-consuming fever and night sweats, dizziness and vertigo, internal wind due to deficiency, weakness and atrophy of tendons and bones, heart deficiency with forgetfulness, and metrorrhagia or menorrhagia.
